All things work together for the good of Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Cake...Mmmmm! What a fabulous and beautiful creation. Who ever thought up such a wonderful thing!? Who would guess that raw eggs, baking powder, flour, sugar, salt, cocoa, and vanilla would all work together to make such a good thing. Just as a skilled baker combines all these ingredients to make something beautiful and very tasty, so the Lord combines many ingredients to work together to form just the person He intended you and I to be. For all of you who have made a cake, you know that most of the ingredients would never be desired in and of themselves...just like the trials and refining the Lord allows into our lives. Even sugar would not be desirable spoonfuls at a time. The Lord is mixing many ingredients into us, with a master plan for the ultimate outcome. He allows hardships to humble us, storms to press us up against his breast, trials that force us to cling to Him, and victories that can only be expressed in songs of praise to our Maker. Are you in a bowl full of raw eggs at present? Or maybe you have a mouth full of flour. Take heart, Jesus knows just what He's doing in your life this very moment. He is skillful, and He has a picture of the complete YOU in His heart. Praise Him, for all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose! Don't resist His refining, but embrace it and watch as a beautiful creation unfolds in you.
